| What Donnie Means |
[20 Jul 2008|02:40am] |
| What Donnie Means | You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row. You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace. People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.
You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. |

Generation charge Tax on Generation charge Transmission charge Tax on Transmission charge System loss Tax on System Loss Distribution, Metering and Supply charges Lifeline rate subsidies Tax on distribution, metering and supply charges and lifeline rate subsidies Local franchise tax Universal charges
Muli tayong bubuwisan ng gobyerno, this time 11 cents/kwh
Ateto pa ang kwela sa lahat, after i total ang iyong electric charges.. papatawan kang muli ng tax.. t! his time yung 12% e-vat.

| pi and pda |
[19 Jul 2008|10:32am] |
|
as promised i watched the shows live today but sadly sana natulog na lang ako. pangit ng mga performances. pi hopefuls were pitted to sing jaya songs. as if naman may relevance! jaya is jaya. nabababoy* nya mga songs and she gets away with it easily. kaya ang mga hopefuls, binaboy rin ang mga songs. wtf were warren and toffer do? after giving me chills last episode, ano nangyari? ano nangyari? anak ng pasig naman! my consolation for the night was kid camaya. after choosing narito ako last week, he chose "kung wala na", my favorite jaya song from the movie soltera. and in fairness, i agreed with wyngard most of the time. hindi na talaga nagwiwinner si jolina. hahahahaha! the pda scholars did a sensuality theme. naku naman. get rid of themes like this. kahit ano pa gawin mo, di sila sensual. lumabas silang cheap lahat except for lizelle, with the best song choice another. ay wait, gusto ko pala performances nina bugoy at laarni. di sila nagmukhang cheap. dahil kaya mukha na silang cheap in the first place? hindi kasi sila sensual. wag pagpilitan. then an inkling came back, di ko maintindihan but mukha ni laarni ang pumapasok ko when i try to remember the girl who joined star in a million na nabigyan ng 0 ni gerard salonga. sya talaga e. kamukha nya. hehehehe. o well, sana the scholars save bunny. ok boses nya e.pero wala na syang gana. then christian should go out na. di sya pang pda. sana talaga sinulit ko na lang ang tulog ko. * for lack of a better word for rediscover. giving songs a new flavor.

| pinoy idol and pinoy dream academy |
[13 Jul 2008|07:30am] |
i was not able to able to watch saturday's performances but i took time to go to a local internet cafe to watch the performances in youtube. thank you youtube!
pinoy idol. in fairness of all fairness, the idol hopefuls improved much on stage. the theme is regine velasquez and most likely, i know ALL will fall short to the songbird's prowess. pero in fairness to the idols, those who really shined were those who took risks.
most of the song choices were difficult. penelope did not give justice to what kind of fool i am. it's a regine trademark, and you need to surpass reg to stand out! she did not.
jayann did some sort of reginish performance. decent but still is lackluster.
sue ellen should go home. she is not serious on her craft. daldalhin is a high song. i even know male friends who love the song. not just like, but loved. and killing the song means going home.
gretchen was great but she's all over the place. and i agreed with wyngard that she is not dressed for the occasion. hehehe.
i don't know but i don't like ram. no matter if he sang great or if he did not, i don't like him. maybe it's the eyes. he keeps on opening them wide. he sang tuwing umuulan decently but still i don't like him. maybe, he doesn't like me too. hahaha.
kid was also not in his element. he was also over the place. it's a wrong choice of song. narito ako is for girls... and gays! it has entertainment value. singing it in pinoy idol could also become your passport home.
daryl sang one of my favorite songs -- sa piling mo. and i think he did it well. there were some pitch issues but i will forgive him.
toffer also sang one song from my regine repertoire -- you made me stronger. it was risky but it was fine. there were also some flats here and there but he gave flavor to the song. kudos.
my fave for the night was warren. urong sulong was beautifully arranged to match his personality and the pitches he had seemed to be irrelevant because the performance seemed to hide it. hehehehe. so biased! hahaha.
the judges are still ill-mannered. when someone is still commenting, some other butts in. in fairness to regine, she was effective. she deserves the judges seat in more ways than jolina. jolina got rid of the winner comment. she reads blogs. wyngard is still senseless. louie ocampo is still crap.
on the pda side of things, the duets concept was effective. it brought out the scholars ability to adapt and harmonize with another singer. watching the performnace, the scholars still are superior to the idol hopefuls in terms of stage presence, voice, and packaging.
van and apple lack chemistry but they were good. they sang the song individually not as a duet. they should have been in the bottom4.
laarni and inaki were good. i so loved the song choice. it fits laarni so much. this was the song a certain girl sang in star in a million where gerald gave her 0. so in a way, risky! inaki's second voice was complementary to laarni's. they are my top2.
christian and bunny did well too. my only concern is the bulilit bagong kampeon register of christian. he gives me chills. he adds circus-ishnesss to the show, in a bad way. he has talent but no one will buy his album. i love bunny's voice. i already gave her chivas votes. hehehe.
miguel and bea's performance was greatly affected by bea's lack of confidence. in fairness to her stanza part, she sounded cute. miguel's compassion in music is there. it was however subtracted by bea's nonmusicality as per inaki. hehehe. anyways i loved the song choice. kid camaya should have done this instead of narito ako.
cris and sen's perofrmance was rehearsed. i did not like it. they seemed confident but it did not show musically. in fairness, separately, they did good. much like of van and apple's duet. they are also in my bottom4.
zhel and bugoy's performance was ok. they blended well. they showed prowess vocally on stage. i liked them. bugoy is boyish. he should admit that.
hehehe. no problem with the judges. no problem with the host. i'm looking forward to the little dreamers.
anyways, i hope i won't be asleep next saturday. i need to watch this live first hand.
til next weekend. no bets yet for my grand star dreamer and the pinoy idol. i need to see different genres to judge them well. miss universe tomorrow!

| chico and delamar, live |
[11 Jul 2008|08:49pm] |
|
friday's lunch was free. it was courtesy of rx93.1 and globe! actually it was francis' prize for joining a text contest on RX. anyways, we were so excited even though most of us are graveyard shifters. the food was very yummy. the crowd was very participative. the freebies were cute. i really enjoyed the event. everybody wanted to have a pic with chico and delamar. all the time i was thinking of how our picture would be. eventually, i found the right time. as the waiters prepared food for our guests, i asked permission to borrow the salad bowl and went to their table. voila! delamar looked cute in the pic! chico? clueless as always. donnie? attention whore! kiko and i mimicking our yahoo pens. super fan! for more pics, visit kai's and martin's page. i may not have enough sleep but that blog-worthy lunch date was also worth the wait!

i was really waiting for something to write. as it will be my first entry using the company-provided lappie! i should have written ryk's christening but i will wait for the pics first! Marga! anyways, when eron and i visited euge on their new place in palm village, his brother edmund was there and he gave us a very happy present - compli special screening tix for MAMMA MIA! the time printed on the ticket was 730 so we sorta plan to meet at around 7 so we can get freebies and maybe food. however, we got alarmed when we saw that the venue was almost empty! it only means one thing -- the movie had started. badtrip! anyways, despite our tardiness, we enjoyed the movie. the last time i felt like this was watching hairspray! add up the fact that eron is simultaneously singing the abba hits. he knows the songs! i won't review the movie. i will just relay how i enjoyed the movie. in fact i love the movie! songs. hot bods. nice beach. GREECE. i so love mamma mia. the fun i had the past few days were courtesy of bes, edmund, and euge. til next visit or special screening. thanks so so much nong edmund!

| pinoy dream academy vs pinoy idol 2nd gala performances |
[29 Jun 2008|10:56am] |
so i was not able to watch pinoy idol entirely. nakatulog ako. hehehe. naabutan ko na lang yung last four performances. so pumunta ako sa youtube para mapanuod yung iba. in fairness, hindi na 1 minute yung mga kanta. so medyo may sense ang performances.
the judges still suck. they banter at each other all the time. wala silang manners. at syempre winner na naman si jolina. minsan isipin nya na baka matanggal ang sinabihan nya ng winner. hehehe.
so far, the idols improved in terms of performances pero sa boses, wala pa rin sila sa mga scholars. magulo pa rin ang direction. may sariling mundo pa rin ang host. at in unfairness, ang ingay ng audience!
best performer - jayanne. shouter - warren. feeling - ram. most improved - kid. walang kwenta - sue.
on the pda side of things, nawindang sila ke gerard salonga! hehehehe. mag ingat talaga kayo pag sya ang judge. he gives 0 to those deserving the 0. he's particular on diction, enunciation, at tono. sumablay ka lang, wala ka na sa kanya.
the scholars were not on their best element. marami ang malamya, kinabahan, at nawala sa tono. e si gerard pa ang nandyan, kaya no wonder antataas ng grades nila. hehehehe.
best performances - laarni/miguel/zhel. surprise of the night - bugoy. walang kwenta - jet.
that's it for now. see you next weekend.

| pinoy dream academy and pinoy idol |
[22 Jun 2008|01:54am] |
|
i want to be fair. i'm such an idol fanatic and i really hoped that GMA did justice in franchising pinoy idol. i won't deny that i'm a loyal kapamilya and for a more objective point of view i gave pinoy idol a chance. since pinoy idol was on an earlier timeslot, i have watched it in its etirety. and here are my comments: - wyngard is out of place. he quips unwitty and offensive remarks both to the contestants and his co judges.
- jolina is out of place. she tends to undo her first remark with the next statement.
- the women are more talented than the men. still no lookers for me. i thought i was watching a circus.
- the 1 minute rule is so duh! it destroyed the show. nobody really shone. give them at least a stanza, bridge then chorus. i really did not enjoy any performance. the rockers should have been eliminated. what are they thinking? david cook pinoy version? hello!
- louie ignacio is crap. i like him in sop but not here. what is he thinking?
- i like raymond as a host. he's articulate and classy.
then we go to PDA. it started after pinoy idol. i did not watch it entirely. i even just listen to some of the performances as i was already taking a bath. i was not able to see or listen to the last 5 performers.but i can name 3 performances that can beat the hell out of the idol people. pinoy idol people should realize by now and should start catching up or else the IDOL this year will pale comaparably to mau marcelo, the first and only philippine idol! here are my comments on the show(kinda biased. can't help it. pinoy idol sucked big time): - i really like the mentors and the classes. most of the scholars are really into it. i know pinoy idol don't really hold classes but i hope they really mentor the final 12. give some pointers and improve their personality so the idol will really stand out and won't be criticized as hell.
- i love it that toni comes to the scholars side after every performance. i feel pity for the idols, raymond wasn't at their side everytime wyngard starts dissing them. i also liked billy's hosting. it's not something formal. it's more personal.
- i love the scholars. most if not all have personality and charisma.
- i only hate the games. it's too cheesy.
anyways. i'll still watch pinoy idol hoping it will improve. oh i love this kind of shows. i really have to go home.

| i missed my flight because of you, mr politician! |
[06 Jun 2008|09:50pm] |
|
it was not my week. week 23 is not my week. this week has proven to be the most stressful, most will-test-your-patience week for me. and what way to end it but to be trapped in traffic in a flyover due to some lame construction and miss my flight! so to you mr. polirtician, you should know that you are causing the worst traffic ever for all commuters going to the airport. you should have known that this project of yours is, from the start, unnecessary and stupid. creating a walkway? hello? people will still cross the street. it's much easier that way. why would they climb a flight(no pun intended) of steps if they can cross the street anyway. you just need some taxpayers money to practice your greediness graftish ways. without realizing you caused trouble to airport-bound commuters. hope you lose the next election. just so you know, i never miss flights. i may be late reporting for work but every outing, sportsfest, team building, i always arrive on time!

after another blog hiatus from moi, i felt so inspired (read: bored) and decided to write another blog entry. about: random thoughts. american idol: davidc deserved the ai title because he was IT the whole season. not just the finals night. and let's admit it, archuleta's album will be a flop. his fans are the kiddie girls with no buying power. just the shouting-sighing-also gasping-kind of girlies. :D new manager: tony vanta! excited to work with sir tony. our very first exclusive manager! pinoy idol: a mix of good and so-so singers. my problem is how gma will market the winner. no lookers for me. who would watch concerts of newbies nowadays? especially nonlookers. duh! sdg web outing: turned uber all day gimik? choose your adventure: videoke, bowling, ice skating, paintball, roadtrip, tagaytay, hooters? what will ahppen. entry to come! iron man: ok. the effects and the story delivery were good but he's iron man. i don't like him. playlist: i got over ai and moved back to maroon five. i love "nothing lasts forever". my new repeat one single. i heart m5. also, i squeeze in some parokya ni edgar music. SOLID! ploning: i still want to see the film.

| safeway outing 08 - through the test of time |
[05 May 2008|01:19pm] |
|
88SPA & RESORT rating: 5 suns, 2 spoons, 3 smiles this is no doubt the hottest safeway outing ever! scorching sun + hot springs + hot water from the faucet = through the fire experience. the food was korean. no im not sandara park and i am not really a risky eater, so i really did not appreciate lunch. in fairness, kiko defended the food to be tasty and i trust his tastebuds so i cannot trash the food flavor. and maybe in line with the hotness theme, the food was uber spicy. spicy dilis, and spicy pork ekek. no no for me. the 2 spoons rating was actually for the clubhouse. i love clubhouse. i love meg. 3 smiles for the overall rating. i had fun. it was my first summer outing. i was with the best bunch of people, webbies. lots of videoke. dip in the pool. first boys locker kulitan. and we even won the game! next stop: sdg web summer outing. soon...

| blog marathon 2 |
[10 Apr 2008|07:58pm] |
|
next stop: variety show april 4 marks the 5th anniversary of my current company, safeway philtech inc. and again, i was part of the program committee again and this time the more haggard version. as aside from hosting, i opted to be in the song spot and two of the dance numbers. who says im not into performing arts? for the fifth year anniversary, nats, kiko, and i will be hosting the show. we will also do the opening number. we decided to do the "moments" number. kiko started the show with this is the moment, then i followed with a moment like this, and ended with one moment in time. we initially planned to do "footloose" but we were out of time so we decided to do moments. what i really liked preparing for the activity was the practice sessions. we start with the dance practice. i signed up for the 1980s spot and the 2000 medley. yes it was exhausting yet i felt young again. i love the moves. i liked the conceptualization. jules is the pro. oliver's the perfectionist. jeremy's the master. actually, i 'm kinda ashamed during practice as all the participants can follow the moves the minute they see it. yes, even franz. i feel so out of place. i just tell myslef, eventually i'll learn if i practice everyday. eventually, i did not. yet during performance time, it did not show. lucky me! the singing practice is also fun! not just fun but fun! fun! fun! kai's the really the girl scout. she prepared all the musical pieces and even brought more for more choices. and her song choices fit that of a pro. it was a last minute decision on my part on the singing and decided to sing maybe this time. kiko is the revelation! he's the man. the bomb. he did my piece from scratch. just relying on his ears and skill. all in all, the party was great. i think everybody enjoyed it. especially the manager's spot. it was dream come true indeed. i loved the safeway class picture.

i missed blogging it's been a long time since my last blog. and there are a number of significant things that happened in my life. so i will try to remember all the deatils and have them cherish their own spotlight in my uber many blog for this day event. first stop: newsletter. this is my first time to feel that i am indeed a celebrity. yes. i acknowledge the fact that i solicit attention. i even plead to get attention. i love hogging the spotlight. but nobody has given me this big a tribute. i just can't really contain in words how i felt after reading the article. it all started with uly's preemptive text. "is it really you in the interview?". of course i replied, "huh? what interview?". it was then that i read the newsletter. and i just have to say, i felt loved. and the people i considered my social life know how to make me smile. the article was a collection of smalltalks, table discussions, and conference chats. in fairness, i have answered the questions well, but i often exaggerate. like for example, pink is not my fave color. it's really between green and blue. that seriously, in five or ten years i would have gone back to teaching. maybe kindergarten. i don't really put aside my dreams of having a tv show or recording a cd but have you heard my recorded voice? uber-gay. so i won't seriously follow that route. even acting. nobody will take me seriously. (i even think most of the people in safeway don't take me seriously. need to reinvent image.) if i may go into showbiz, i would rather be in the creative department. anyways, the article was done in good taste. i remembered i almost caught them and there was tension in the air. i even thought, they're laughing behind my back. paranoia in the house! one thing is certain. one of the reason i love my job is the fact that i love the people i work with. this is my longest birthday ever. ast.web, thank you so much. for bearing with me. for laughing everytime i try to be funny. for caring everytime i feel down. and for accepting me for who i am.
